About Alkosar Online Quran Academy
Dedicated to providing personalised, live 1-on-1 Shia Quran and Islamic education for children and adults across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and worldwide.
Founded in 2015 to Serve Shia Families Globally
Alkosar Online Quran Academy was established in 2015 with a clear purpose: to make qualified Shia Quran instruction and authentic Islamic learning accessible to Muslim families regardless of where they live.
Many Shia families residing in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and European countries face significant hurdles finding an experienced Shia Quran teacher locally. Islamic centres may be miles away, work and school schedules are demanding, and finding specialized tutors who understand the Shia tradition and Ja'fari jurisprudence can be difficult.
From our founding, Alkosar has prioritized a dedicated, 1-on-1 teaching model. Students learn directly through live interactive video sessions with verified male and female teachers, creating an encouraging, focused environment where recitation fluency, Tajweed rules, and Ahlulbayt (A.S.) teachings are nurtured with patience.
From basic Qaida and letter pronunciation to fluent Quran reading and advanced Tajweed rules.
Practical rulings for prayer (Salah), Wudhu, Taharah, fasting, and essential daily Islamic duties.
Nahjul Balaghah, Sahifa Sajjadiya, and Shia exegesis (Tafseer) to understand the Quran's wisdom.
Classes arranged to fit family schedules across US Eastern/Pacific, UK GMT/BST, Canada, and Australia.

Alkosar Online Quran Academy Established
Founded to help Shia families living in Western countries who could not easily access local Shia madrasahs or qualified Shia Quran tutors. We launched our first remote 1-on-1 reading classes with focused personal attention.
Broadening into Fiqh, Tajweed & Ahlulbayt Studies
In response to parent requests, our curriculum expanded beyond basic reading to incorporate Tajweed rules, memorization (Hifz), Ja'fari Fiqh & Ahkam, Quran translation, and guided studies of Nahjul Balaghah.
Serving Communities Globally
Today, Alkosar continues to guide children and adults across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and beyond with dedicated male and female tutors, structured syllabi, and accessible trial lessons.
